Investigating the biological, psychological and sociocultural drivers of body image, eating and weight disorders to inform innovative treatments.

Professor Gemma Sharp established and has led the Body Image, Eating and Weight Disorders Research Program since 2018. She commenced at Adelaide University in January 2026 as an NHMRC Investigator Fellow.
In her expanding research program, she is currently supervising and mentoring post-docs, research assistants, PhD, Masters and Honours students across a range of research disciplines.
